This pretty thing is my little sister. She’s a big bad high school senior this year, and we’ll be taking her senior portraits this fall. While I was home for the weekend, we decided to take a few practice shots. I can’t believe my little “Wayna” is almost 18. Ain’t she purdy?

He’s too stinkin’ cute.

This little sweetheart joined my extended family eleven days ago and I finally got the chance to meet him today. He had the best temperment I’ve ever seen – totally mellow and unfazed by a few outfit changes. If future sessions with him go this well, I’ll be spoiled indeed!

Little Miss E is one of my favorites. I first took her picture a year ago for her first birthday, and I can’t believe she’s almost two!

We started out in downtown Des Moines with her Rock Star outfit, then made our way to Gray’s Lake. It was hot, humid, and we got stuck in a downpour at one point. Not ideal conditions for a shoot, but I’m really pleased with how it turned out. Here are a few samples!
